Which version of Move is right for you?
Q&A with Jason Kaminski
Corporate F&B Manager, American Liberty Hospitality
Why did you choose an iOS-based setup instead of Windows or proprietary POS hardware?
In our experience, iOS devices significantly reduce complexity. Staff already know how to use them, which shortens training time and improves adoption. From an IT perspective, they’re reliable, secure, and easy to replace locally if needed. Combined with Infrasys POS being hardware-agnostic, this gives us flexibility without locking us into expensive, proprietary terminals.
How did you evaluate the cost in the investment in IPORT hardware?
When we compared it to the total cost of traditional fixed terminals (hardware, cabling, maintenance, and limited flexibility) the IPORT setup proved to be a smarter long-term investment. The ability to move devices between outlets, reduce the number of fixed stations, and extend the lifecycle of the setup helped lower overall cost of ownership.
Why do you think mobility is finally ready for hospitality now?
Because the foundation is finally right. Cloud-native systems, intuitive devices, responsive Ul, and professional mobility hardware now work together instead of against each other. That combination removes the compromises that held mobility back in the past.
